ALABAMA BRINGS BACK JUNE JAM:
After a 26-year hiatus, ALABAMA is bringing back their June Jam concert event this year. Tickets will go on sale March 1 for the June 3 event at the Fort Payne VFW Fairgrounds. Special guests will be revealed in the coming weeks with the band to close the show with a full concert. Front man RANDY OWEN says he hopes the tradition will continue indefinitely now that it’s being revived. To date, June Jam has raised over $15 million for charitable causes.
CMT AWARDS HOSTS REVEALED:
The 2023 CMT Music Awards are set for April 2 from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. KANE BROWN and KELSEA BALLERINI will co-host the event, which will air on CBS. The CMT Music Awards are the only entirely fan-voted awards show in country music.
KANE BROWN TO GUEST STAR ON CBS DRAMA:
CBS’ new series, Fire Country will include a guest appearance by KANE BROWN in the April 7 episode. His character will be named Robin and is described as a modern-day train hopper who helps victims after a crash.
REBA JOINS THE VOICE:
When the new season of NBC’s The Voice begins March 6, REBA MCENTIRE will serve as Mega Mentor to the contestants. She will be part of the season along with judges Chance The Rapper, Niall Horan, KELLY CLARKSON and BLAKE SHELTON. Reba previously appeared on The Voice in its first season as a celebrity mentor.
NEW MUSIC FROM JUSTIN MOORE:
On May 5, JUSTIN MOORE will release a new studio album called Stray Dog. The title track is now available and is an autobiographic depiction of the singer, who co-wrote the tune. Justin’s previous hits include If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away, You Look Like I Need A Drink and Lettin’ The Night Roll.
PAISLEY INKS NEW DEAL:
After recording exclusively for Arista Records for the first 25-years of his career, BRAD PAISLEY has departed and signed with the UMG Nashville label. Paisley is said to be working on new music that could be out as soon as 2023.
