1975: JOEY FEEK was born in Alexandria, Indiana. The female half of the duo JOEY + RORY, she died in 2016 of ovarian cancer.
2005: GARTH BROOKS, TRISHA YEARWOOD, DIXIE CHICKS and EMMYLOU HARRIS were among those participating in Shelter From The Storm, a benefit for victims of Hurricane Katrina that aired across multiple cable networks.
2007: TAYLOR SWIFT released Our Song from her self-title debut album. It would become her first number one hit, spending six straight weeks at the top and made her the youngest person to write and record a number one country hit.

LUKE COMBS SETS WORLD TOUR:
Next March, LUKE COMBS will set out on a world tour that will take him to three continents, 16 countries and include opening acts RILEY GREEN, LAINEY WILSON and CODY JOHNSON. The tour kicks off in Texas and ends in the United Kingdom in October.
KELSEA BALLERINI’S TRI-ET:
KELSEA BALLERINI’s new album, Subject To Change comes out September 23 and she’s revealed a collaboration with not one, but two female artists. Kelsea is joined by both CARLY PEARCE and KELLY CLARKSON on the song You’re Drunk, Go Home! She revealed news of the tri-et on her social media channels and says the tune will be available to radio the same day the album is released.
TRACE’S MONARCH SERIES TO DEBUT:
On Sunday, September 11, FOX will debut the country music series Monarch starring TRACE ADKINS and Susan Sarandon. The show will follow the Roman family, considered to be country music royalty, though hidden secrets threaten to expose the truth about the family. After it debuts this Sunday, the show will air on Tuesday nights starting September 20.
CARRIE RETURNS TO SNF:
For the tenth straight year, CARRIE UNDERWOOD will do the opening theme for Sunday Night Football. The first game is set for Sunday, September 11 and finds the Tampa Bay Buccaneers facing the Dallas Cowboys.
KANE BROWN IS A DIFFERENT MAN TODAY:
The third studio album from KANE BROWN, Different Man, is out today. Kane co-produced the project and also co-wrote 15 of the 17 songs. BLAKE SHELTON joins Kane on the title track while his wife, KATELYN BROWN teams up for Thank God.
WYNONNA SETS JUDDS TOUR GUESTS:
WYNONNA has revealed the special guests that will join her for The Judds’ Final Tour, kicking off September 30. BRANDI CARLILE, ASHLEY MCBRYDE, LITTLE BIG TOWN, TRISHA YEARWOOD and FAITH HILL will join Wy to sing the duo’s classic hits. MARTINA MCBRIDE will open each show. Each act will play multiple dates with Wynonna except Faith, who will only share the stage on the final night in Lexington, Kentucky.
NEW DOLLY COLLECTION COMING:
A new DOLLY PARTON hits package is set for November 18. Diamonds And Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection will contain 23 Parton hits spanning nearly 50 years, including duets with KENNY ROGERS as well as LORETTA LYNN and TAMMY WYNETTE. Also on the album will be a song Dolly wrote and recorded during the pandemic called When Life Is Good Again.
