CMA NOMINEES REVEALED:
The Country Music Association has revealed the 2022 CMA Awards Nominees and LAINEY WILSON (Things A Man Ought To Know) leads with six. Other multiple nominees include LUKE COMBS, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, MIRANDA LAMBERT and CHRIS STAPLETON. The show is set for November 9 in Nashville and will air live on ABC with hosts LUKE BRYAN and Peyton Manning.
BLAKE HEADS BACK TO THE HONKY TONKS:
BLAKE SHELTON has revealed plans for his 18-city Back To The Honky Tonks tour, beginning next February in Nebraska. Dates will run through late March with shows each weekend. CARLY PEARCE and JACKSON DEAN will serve as supporting acts for all shows.
RHETT GETS BACK TO WORK:
After ten days of doctor-ordered vocal rest, THOMAS RHETT has been cleared to return to performing. The cause of the issue was vocal cord irritation and inflammation, which has since been resolved. The next show on his Bring The Bar To You tour is set for tomorrow night (Thursday) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
REBA HAS FRESH IDEAS FOR SITCOM REBOOT:
For many years, REBA MCENTIRE has been lobbying to reboot her early 2000s sitcom, Reba with the original cast. Now, she says, if such a reboot happened, she’d make way for boyfriend Rex Linn to be written into the show in some capacity. Reba aired on the WB, later CW Network for six years and members of the cast have remained in close contact even after it ended.
LUKE COMBS GIVES FREE SHOW IN MAINE:
Feeling his voice wasn’t up to par for a concert in Maine last weekend, LUKE COMBS refunded the money to every ticket holder. Then, after announcing his decision from the stage, went on to play the concert for free. For so many artists, it would be about the bottom line or protecting their voice, but for Luke and his big heart, it’s all about the fans, just one more reason why he has emerged as one of the brightest stars in country music.
